Who we are
Our website address is: https://6oclocktrain.com.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
When you enter your email to contact us, we are automatically given your email so that we can reply. We will not use the email to send you any promotional emails, only to reply to whatever questions you have and we will not send more emails unless our email conversation continues. We use a plugin to embed our contact form, which tells us the email you entered so that we can reply.
The only time that we actually use your email to send you a message is if you request that we do so. On this blog, you will see opt-in forms that ask for your first name and email address. If you do choose to enter this information, we will send you emails including whatever special offer you requested, as well as some emails to help you travel, earn money from travel or save money for travel. We NEVER share your email with anyone and you can unsubscribe from all of our emails at any time.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
We use Google Analytics to track the visitors on this site so that we know how many people we have visiting our blog.
Social Media Share Buttons
We use social media share buttons on this site. Your data may be passed to the associated sites, for example, Facebook. This applies whether you choose to click on one of the share buttons or not. If you are not happy for this to happen then please do not continue using the site.
What we do with the information we gather
We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
- Internal record keeping.
- We may use the information to improve our products and services.
- We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided. ONLY when you have opted in to receive these emails.
- From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. This is just so that we can better provide you with the best travel advice and travel products.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
If you’ve entered your email to receive our newsletter or a free product (ie: our free ebooks), then we will keep that data until you unsubscribe from our lists, or until we feel that we’re not serving you any more. If you haven’t expressed interest in our emails for 90 days or more, we may delete your information entirely from our email servers.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Controlling your personal information
You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:
- Whenever you sign up for an email through our popups and opt-in forms on this site, you will receive emails from us. You can opt-out of these emails at any time. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
- if you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time by writing to or emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen. This website automatically stores cookies on your browser. Many of these cookies allow us to receive a commission from our affiliate partners which in turn helps us to keep this website running. We do appreciate if you keep your cookies on.
We are a travel blog, not a large company. The only time we have access to your email or contact information is if you add it into our website manually. We would never try to get your personal information for any other reason besides emailing you great travel advice and new cool travel products, courses and ebooks that we create… for you.
You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee will be payable.
If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us (email@example.com) as soon as possible. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
Where we send your data
We don’t send your data to any third-party or sell your data, however, when you leave a comment, it may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Also, if you have entered your email to our site, we may use your email address to also send you offers and information on Facebook, Instagram and the Facebook ads network.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Our website is 100% secure and we work hard to keep your data secure.

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement.
